The Muskoka Villages

Inukshuk in Vancouver

When crossing the barren tundra in the artic circle, the lone Inuit traveler would come across an Inukshuk left behind, -perhaps generations ago- by a fellow explorer. From this he knew there would be safety nearby. Perhaps a village, or maybe just some shelter and food.

Much like those ancient Inuit Inukshuks, the Muskoka Villages are a network of friendly coves around the world where our modern day explorers will find partners and resources to connect with and in turn to make a difference in the community.

We have worked with our local partners in communities on each continent to create a network of destinations, places and people who will welcome you and your assistance. Every Muskoka Village has been personally vetted by us; is accessible by overland vehicle; and most are within a 1 - 2 day drive of some local attraction that you were probably planning on visiting already.

Take a look at our initial set of villages on the map below, and see which fit in with your travel plans, and where you think you could help make a difference.

If there are none in your area and/or if you have existing connections with a school / orphanage or development organization somewhere, please watch THIS PRESENTATION and let us know through the GET INVOLVED form. We'd love to reach out to new communities.
